“You don’t smell it with your teeth.”
“Sometimes you can do.”

I once said Shoaib Ahktar was beyond satire, I have no idea what that makes Shahid.

Afridi has now been replaced as captain, what a stint.

Afridi can bring immense pain and joy to his supporters. Always expect the unexpected.

He will be obviously back as a captain no doubt about that. This biting of balls will go down as a hilarious mistake by an idiot who wanted to be fucked.

Uncle JRod why dont you put his biting ball picture as a cover page for your saddist magazine. The background should be the naked english women who ran in the field naked some 15-20 years ago. hehehe

As far as that spectator who tackled Khalid latif is concerned…….Wasnt a big deal to me……Just a guy who wanted some cheap publicity…….he didnt meant to hurt him… nor did his expressions suggested a seriously ill feelings. With out idiots, wisdom would have never been recognised. (Afridi, Tackler)

But security guys were not impressive…..what if a drunk maniac wanted to do some harm…….he would have definitely succeeded considering the time he had to tackle the player.

So let’s say he WAS trying to smell it.

Why? Why do you need to smell a cricket ball?

Mystery solved. My wife has worked out what he was up to. It’s perfectly clear: Afridi is actually a five month old baby. He’s teething.

  9. alex  •  Feb 1, 2010 @19:23

That is like everyone saliva on the ball and all smell bad…he want to smell it ? He is a nutcase. Why waste time on nutcase?.

He is there to shock people in different way. I think he goes to extreme level when he is mad. Out of control. Ideal suicide bomber. :D

In an age of spin doctors and PR men behind every comment I find it hugely refreshing that he said something entertaining.

So you guys have never smelled a cricket ball with your teeth?

  13. Sunny  •  Feb 1, 2010 @21:35

@ben – eventhough afridi was only 17 through my teenage years but saying he is an infant is a bit too much.

    @ Sunny – Isn’t he still 18? :S

Afridi did it for his country after all.
He’s crazy, that’s all. “Maddest of the mad maxes” like it says on cricinfo.

I wish…I wish everything goes well for that guy. He makes cricket exciting, so I hope his career doesn’t get affected.

its the heady smell of glue on leather – try it sometime jrod.

  18. Gigi  •  Feb 2, 2010 @14:36

    I hear with my testes

    I see with my glans

Please Jrod, would you run a thread of what could Afridi do next that would be more fcked up than this on the field? And what he would say in defence?

  19. Kris  •  Feb 2, 2010 @19:35

The best part is when he tells the journo not to ask negative questions. Quality

  20. me  •  Feb 2, 2010 @22:42

In my opinion he was joking & also kind of annoyed at the question.

He already told the ICC that he was cheating, so why would he feel the need to make up something so farfetched now? He’s already admitted to the action BEFORE this interview.
Anyway, it sounds like a joke, smelling with your teeth.

Not sure what he had in mind when he did that, “out of his mind, maybe”…. First biting, then lying, then accepting it…. Even after such deadly task he seems to have no control over his tongue….. Afridi is under assumption that every story of his will be accepted……….. Afridi should be seriously punished (not just with 2 matches).
