It has not been a good time for entertainers in international cricket.
Graeme Swann has been doing his best, Shoaib has been working hard off the field, and Dave Mohammed did some work in the Champions League.
It isn’t enough.
Since Nel left us there has been a vacuum.
There have been no emotionally unstable vaudeville bowlers around.
Sure Siddle does his bit with chest thumping and guttural screams, but it isn’t the same.
Now the yelling crying almost feline figure of Sreesanth is back, and cricket needs crazy fuckers like him.
Apparently, so do India.
Five wickets on return from a wilderness that only seems to exist for the most promising Pakistan and Indian bowlers.
Sreesanth has come back to save us from bland cricketers.
You might hate him, but that doesn’t matter, crazy is necessary.
And if he cries again, that will be funny too.
Today, alas, he wasn’t so crazy, but unless he has had a lobotomy when he feels safe in this side his natural nutbag self will coming flowing back and instead of praying when he gets a wicket he will take off his top, slap him self with chickens and ride a horse straight out of the ground.
I hope.

it might seem crazy, but doing crazy stuff with your hair might have something to do with performance in the subcontinent, eg – malinga, dilshan, and sreesanth!
Jrod – Did you see the hugs he was giving Harbhajan? At one point he had his head on Bhajji’s chest. Highlight of the test series so far.
He will be back to his old crazy self soon. More wickets he gets , cockiness will be back , arrogance will be back and his big mouth will be back to irritate opposition and his own team mates.
He is one irritating and annoying player. I am not sure what his mom did when she concieved him.
He is an attention seeking who-re!.
Always was. Always will. It is in his stars. Aquarius. Wastes so much energy to seek attention and wonder why people hate him.
if more people talk about him more happy he is internally.
Whole india actually hate him. if he do not have bowling talent , he probably would have commit suicide the amount of hate he brings out on people to hate him.
Seeking attention is his nature. He can’t change it. Even his family told him play hard and stop this nonsense. Will he ever listen?.
I doubt it. More wickets he gets , crazy sreesanth will be back. Craziness still there , he is just controlling it because if he does one more crazy thing , he will be done.
But he won’t think twice if he wins next test also on his bowling , you will start to see he is yapping this and that.
mps, I was almost with you, and then i remembered Sehwag was bald. However, if you want to stick by this theory, you could add Dizzy Gillespie and KP to that, and just say that cricketers with shit haircuts often do well.
That’s clever – tagging random words in your post to link to your amazon page. Funny, even.

Mentioning Nel’s name in the same article as Sreesanth reminded me of the time he hit Nel back over his head for a massive six then danced up the wicket celebrating the shot swinging his bat in the air and jumping for joy. Not forgetting all the verbals and bouncers he took off Nel prior to the shot.
Two nutters together.
Still think the old Sreesanth will be back once he feels established in the team again.

Is there some sort of bingo wheel with Indian players names on it. Where it stops, that player is in the wilderness for two years?
Glad to see him back – always rated him highly. And love the drama. You can never have too much drama.
Where was the craziness really ? ordered Beer and got served Milk !

Sree… he is young and energetic guy… bring your craziness back!!!!!!!!!!!1
I always watch the films for the inexplicable performance of my favourite actors on the screen, never wanted to know their personal life, how it is? as it’s doesn’t matter to me…
Sree is one of the best pace bowlers India ever seen but he has to improve a lot even in his character… He himself would not have thought that he will get such a magical come back to Team India. He became Key Personal for the victory and has been selected as Man-Of-The Match on 2nd Test, what else a cricketer needs who came back to Team after a gap of 18 months. Unbelievable performance..
If he keeps this spirit of cricket in his mind, I am quite sure Team India would be getting a deadly dangerous talented pace bowler as what our team wanted for past many years…
It’s very easy to criticize the people… it’s very easy to laugh at them… we are human beings and we don’t have super natural power… Let him play the way he wants and we can enjoy in the victory of our Team India, what else we expect from the players!!!!!
Hi Sree… Take care!!!
Mock Wah, the prayer had a touch of craziness in it. A glass of milk with a whisky shot in it?
Can be as equal as having Laddu with Chatni… have a nice day!!!!!!
