Recently I was allowed to beta test the latest online cricket game, Howzat.

Now I am not gaming expert, the last game I played obsessively was my old PC version of Prince of Persia.

But I have played a few cricket computer games over the years.

The EA ones, Allan Border’s cricket, Shane Warne’s cricket, and a bunch of others I can’t remember the name of.

I’ve mentioned a bunch of online cricket games before, stick cricket, little master and zombie cricket.

So I’m not an expert, but I’ve been around.

I did really like howzat.

It reminded me of some of the better cricket games i’ve played over the years, but online and free.

And I only played the crappy level where the ball doesn’t wing or spin, and I batted like an ass, or how Michael Hussey does now.

The game isn’t perfect, but it is still far and away the best online cricket game I have played.

When it goes live, early November they hope, you will be able to play against others, create your own teams, name your stadium, play in tournaments and all sorts of other cool shit.

Trust me when I say, this is a better game than the zombie one where you knock off Ponting’s head, and I don’t say that lightly.

My only complaint would be the lack of zombies in the game, if you could have an online cricket game where you could bounce players and take their heads clear off, that would be perfect, but this one is pretty good.

Cool! I don’t have Facebook, but from the sounds of it (and your review, of course) it looks good. Stick Cricket is also good, but what do I know? I don’t play many cricket-related online games….

My game RSC Test Cricket isn’t as fancy but where else can you have jrod bowling Sehwag?

16.4 Jarrod Kimber to Virender Sehwag (8)
WICKET! OUT, caught and bowled, and a moment of uncertainty! Sehwag just chips one back to Jrod’s right, who plucks the hard-hit drive and then looks on as if he can’t believe it, and neither can Sehwag, it wasn’t a terrific catch or anything, it was just about a moment of silence before anyone realised what had happened .. anyway, Sehwag has to go and Jrod celebrates

Wow, that’s the second unexpected c&b that Jrod’s managed this season
