Somehow I found myself over at Brett Lee Online, a Brett Lee fansite.

I didn’t even know Brett Lee had a fansite.

Nor did I care.

Once there I found myself entertained by the fast facts section, here is a selection of my favourites:

Brett and his brother, Shane have a semi-autobiography called ‘Lee2 – Lee to the Power of Two’.

Not sure exactly what a semi-autobiography is, whether that means others wrote some of it, or whether some of it is fictional, but I do know this, that is the worst dame for a book ever.

During the off-season, Brett still returns to work at Barclay’s Menswear where he was a suitsalesman before making his test debut.

I doubt he still does, but I think he did for years, for those keeping scores, Hilfy is a bricky, Mitch is a plumber, and Siddle chops wood for competition.

Brett owns two pet clownfishes called ‘Finding’ and ‘Nemo’.

Does he really, yes, ofcourse he does.

Brett is credited in the movie ‘Babe’ (which was filmed in Australia) as a pighandler. As a teenager working in an Agri-shed, he had to handfeed the piglets which were to appear on the show.

I’m not saying this isn’t true, but it isn’t listed on his IMDB profile, however there is Brett Lee listed as a Animal Handler on Babe, but he has a different profile.

He does not believe in God, but is of the opinion that there is a Higher Power or Supreme Being.

I think he believes in aliens.

Brett, Tim Cahill and Shane Watson are all apart of their own little band where both cricketers play the guitar and Cahill provides vocals.

Isn’t it a beautiful thing when people from different sports can come together to ruin music.

For your information Brett Lee has an OFFICIAL fansite called Brett-Lee.net.

Did the Fast Facts section mention that Brett has the worst average and economy rate of any bowler with over 300 wickets? Did it mention that Brett has never taken 10 wickets in a match and has only taken 5 wickets in an innings a paltry 10 times? Did it mention he played his last ever test on Boxing Day 2008, when he finished with the humiliating figures of 0-117?

Caite, It’s no where near embarrassing enough to mention on here. He doesn’t even have a slogan like AB DeVilliers one does. The Unofficial site has fast facts, and the official one has quick facts. The Official list mentions his love of fashion (about 7 times), the unofficial one mentions his Cahill/Watson band and the fact he handled famous pigs. No contest.

Two of Brett’s favourite movies are Shawshank Redemption and Happy Gilmore.
Talk about going from one extreme to the other.

The best thing about @BrettLeeOnline on Twitter is the fact that the person behind the site trolls the search page on Twitter to find anyone saying anything bad about Brett Lee. When these offenders are located, he then starts throwing his toys out of the pram at them.

Peter Della Penna’s last blog post..Watson breaks down. The sky is blue.

I can personally vouch for Peter Della Penna’s comment. After the Ashes squad was named, I tweeted that Binga better not get a walk up start in Cardiff. @BrettLeeOnline wasn’t gonna take it, insisting that he was back on his way, getting up to the high 140s again. I commented this was probably his test average in England…. @BrettLeeOnline didn’t seem to get the sarcasm…
