Andre Nel is retiring from international cricket, probably to kill your children.

Rightfully so.

We loved Andre, we still love Andre.

But we are too emotional to give him a proper Gunter type send off today.

Andre, one day we will rule the world together, don’t fret my pretty.

See you at the oval.

    I always thought Gunther would go for a more dignified exit than the old “retire once you’ve been dropped” trick. Something like running buck naked across Newlands during a Test, before setting fire to each of the South African selectors’ wives and ostentatiously pissing near, but not on them.

    Opportunity missed. Still, high hopes for the Oval.

    Sad sad- cricket needs characters and Dr dre was certainly one of those- maybe his avg wasn’t incredibly but he always slogged his guts out. The Saf aus series might have been different if Andre played instead of my least favourite meal- the Morne
